High Altitude Armor brand was created to mitigate the threat of UV exposure over the course of a long career. In the cockpit, 56 minutes of sun exposure at high altitudes can be as damaging as 20 minutes in a tanning bed.  No need to use your whiz wheel to figure out that pilots need to protect their skin. As a commercial pilot and designer, I needed gear that could protect my skin without sacrificing style or comfort. When I couldn’t find it, I created it—starting with SPF 50+ sleeves designed for pilots, athletes, and adventurers who live and work in the sun.
